A 为什么不对呢？

因为and链接的两个句子的主语是一样的，所以这个she是多余的。
如果for做连词，后面应该是一个句子，但是 for many of the planes she flew to be 这个she flew是修饰planes的一个从句，可以去掉，去掉以后可以发现 for many of the planes to be of……这并不是一个句子

回过头来我又看了一眼这道题

E 选项 earned  是 past participle 用来修饰 句子的宾语 也就是 seventeen official national and international speed records

我 记得 VERBing  和 VERBed 作修饰不是只能修饰句子中的主语么？
这里怎么修饰宾语了。 可以这样子么？

这里有几种不同的情况：
逗号加 V-ing 的时候，修饰的是前一个句子主语和谓语。
无逗号加V-ing 的时候，修饰的是这个v-ing前面的那个名词
v-ed 不管有没有逗号 都是修饰紧跟着的前面的那个名词

是的。一般的考题都是给个v-ed 在句首，然后考你知不知道下一个句子的开头必须是这个词的修饰对象。
