括号部分是修饰语。

另外in 1909的位置的确有问题。

I think the right answer is E.

A,C,D all have a common mistake: turned/turning away from literary realism to write romatic stories... Here, the from ... to ... reqires two parallel nouns. Whereas E changed the structure to turned away from ... and wrote ..., completes the parallel of two verbs, and is more close to the logical meaning. This parallel of two verbs also make the sentence more balanced. Although B also adopts this correct structure, the "She..., and novelist Selma" creates redundancy of the subjects. Thus, only E is the best answer.

我开始做时也有同感,并以此迅速排除A,C,D,结果发现B和E的and wrote在语意和逻辑上也不好.只好重新找错.做完后分析才发现,这里to并不与from平行,而是turn away sth to do sth. 用to表示了turn away后的方向,比B和E中的and wrote好.

E不但改变了句子重心,而且在逻辑上有明显错误:SL成为第一个获奖的女作家和瑞典作家 是由于 她turned away...and wrote....-----That doesn't make sense.  turned away...是辅助说明SL是怎样的一个作家,重心在获奖那一句.

E还有一错:that不可指代writer,要用who的.注意B也一样哦!

答案是D.
