请教！！SC79中的一个【as...as】的问题及省略用法

C：Japan was instrumental in his development as a writer, informing both his literature and the content of his fiction.(CORRECT)
E:  Japan was instrumental in his development as a writer, as it informed his literature as much as.

问题一：为什么不选E呢？题目也是说的as much as 啊。
问题二：这题在OG中的解释是，到底Knowledge影响Style和Knowledge影响 Content一样多，还是Knowledge影响Style和Content影响Style一样的，这ambiguous，所以不对。
             那么怎样的表达方法可以避免这个问题？
             想表达Knowledge影响Style和Knowledge影响 Content一样多，应该什么写？Knowledge影响Style和Content影响Style一样多，应该怎么写？
             as much as之后的省略要遵循怎么的规则？

要仔细看OG的解释，明确的告诉你E选项没有语法上的问题，你只贴出了这两个选项，弄得我也迷茫了。然后我去翻了一下og上的这道题，就明白了。  句子改错=语义+语法  在你的情况，就是不理解句意，导致做不好。 原句的句意，即A选项，用的是informing，表示RA在欧洲中国日本文学的知识是他作为一个作家的基础，在他的写作风格和内容里都体现的到。 这里的分词是做前因后果，因为他有这些知识，所以这些知识贯通着他的文章。 而用as it，就变成了因为他的风格和内容都是关于这些文学的，所以这些知识对他成为作家很重要。 变成了后面是原因，前面是结果，刚好颠倒了整个句子的句意

但是对你的分析有些部分不是很赞同，instrumental应该是有帮助，起作用的意思。然后as的使用是unclear的，也不一定表示因为的意思。然后又在CD上找啊找。终于找到了关于这题为什么D的解释。个人觉得解释的很好。也贴出来。
但是，关于as much as的问题还是没有弄清楚。因为A项虽然错误，但是它表达的意思就是原文的意思，所以A中的as much as想表达的对两方面影响一样的意思，用both and是不是就不太一样了？然后还是那个问题，如果Knowledge informed style as much as content did.表示的意思是K影响S和C影响S一样多，那想要表示K影响S和K影响Ｃ一样多（同时不像文章那样产生歧义的话）应该怎么表述？

【This phrasing makes it unclear what the writer is claiming. It appears to indicate that the effect of Akutagawa's knowledge on his development as a writer was due to the fact that both of the aspects of his writing were influenced to the same extent, However, it is implausible to suppose that this is what the writer intends.

这句话的主要着重点是D选项上用as，而正确选项是用的informing，是状语。区别在于，【，V-ing】结构很明显在这句话里是起到状语的结构，是对前句的一个补充说明；而as的话，引导的是状语从句，但是as有一种用法是做because的意思来讲，所以OG说unclear and appears to indicate the meaning "due to"


Furthermore, the comparison is ambiguous: did his knowledge inform his style as much as it informed the content, ox did it inform his style as much as the content informed his style?


这句话，着重点是在as much as上，D选项后半句话是as it informed his literary style as much as the content of his fiction
C选项用both... and的结构，很清楚的表现出是inform both A and B, 也就是说inform的宾语是A和B两者，这点在C里很清楚。然而D却可以有两种解释，
1）as it(指代knowledge) informed his literacy style as much as the content of his fiction (informed) 也就是是knowledge和content of his fiction并列，同时作为informed的主语
2) as it informed his literacy style as much as the content of his fiction 这个就和C选项一致，即而这都作为informed的宾语


尽管后者才是作者真正想表达的意思，但是用as much as会造成理解为第一种的歧义，而且但就这题而言肯定没有both... and来的清晰。所以，最后D被X掉了】

同学你好，我看到你的回复了，不过还是请你细看OG的解释，my reasoning is based on the official guide：”his phrasing makes it unclear what the writer is claiming.“ It appears to indicate that the effect of Akutagawa’s knowledge on his development as a writer was due to the fact that both of the aspects of his writing were influenced to the same extent.

红色部分之前是你说的，it‘s unclear；然后你说：as也不一定表示因为的意思。   og明确的说出了，as在这里就是给人一个RA的knowledge on his development是因为（was due to）both of the aspects of his writing were influenced to the same extent.  所以这里就变成了，as后面的部分，是前面主句的原因了，把句子的意思弄混了，这是对所谓”unclear“的解释
