答案是选C，做题过程中也能选出来的C，可是分析选项的时候有一个问题想不明白：
如果说subject to 修饰的是coyote的话，那不应该是sbjected to吗？为什么这样里用coyote就比ability好呢？想不明白。

be subject to中subjec作形容词用,其基本含义是“受限于……”,“服从于……”,“易受……”
be subjected to中subject为动词，指"接受，经受，遭受使经受,使遭受等"

明白了，第一个subject本身就有“受...”,“被...”的含义，但是第二个要成为被动形式才有这个意思。

就在这个帖子问下了，我查了字典coyote复数形式：coyote/coyotes均可，对于prep08   104页关于B选项的分析是have 和their与主语和指代对象coyote为单数不一致是不是就是错的？B选项只能通过ability of adapting 错误来排除
