关于for和because of的区别

1. 一个是固定搭配的原因，楼主记死就好了， owe sth to sb. for some reason

2。另外还有一个知识点， because和because of 这两个词表示的都是直接的因果关系。什么叫直接的因果关系，就是当你把两者放在逻辑链上是可以推论的。比如：
the profit increased because the cost decreased.
成本下降---->利润上升   这两者是符合因果关系的

但像for、as这一类是表原因的，而不是表因果关系的。比如你可以说：
I am late as I got out 5 minutes later than usual.
你迟到是因为比平时出门晚了十分钟。
但是当你把这两个事件放上逻辑链：    晚出门5分钟--->迟到    任何人晚出门五分钟都会迟到吗？不会。 也许你9点上班，从家到公司要10分钟，但是平时8点半出门，这样你即使比平时晚出门5分钟时间也是绰绰有余的啊，那一定是其他什么原因导致你迟到，比如堵车，遇到交通事故之类的。   所以你并不能从比平时晚5分钟推出就一定迟到的因果，这两件事不成因果。

凡是看到because/because of 的时候都想想这两者是不是为 因果关系！ 如果不是的话，就不能用because/because of. 这道题也是，虽然不知道owe ..to ..for的idiom,也可以用这一条判断
