句子中age 的时间个人觉得发生在propose之前，也就是过去的过去，为何时态不是过去完成时而是一般过去时呢？

existed是和后面的now做对比的
如果你认为propose是过去发生的，那么后面的now和currently都没有异议
A的主要错误还是在于now currently，这里是grave error

manhattan里有一章说时态的，非常明确的时间次序是没必要用过去完成时来表示时间先后的顺序的。

这个是客观事实，客观事实的话，时态是独立的，比如，哥白尼说，地球围绕太阳转，你不能因为哥白尼几百年前说的，就用一般过去式来描述地球围绕太阳转。这里就是这个意思。所以不能用过去完成时。
GMAC有条题是说199X年加拿大和美国达成一个什么协议限制污染物排放的
你找一找那条题，就可以解决你这个问题了。

current是修饰temperate area的 是现在温和的地带 不是标志整体时态的词啊

1. Current是按照他当时的现在，还是真实的现在
2. had existed是按照他当时的过去，还是现在的过去的过去

如果Current是真实的现在，按照他的说法，是不是应该用未来时，所以Current是否不应该出现？
