OG 13 SC 75
More and more in recent years, cities are stressing the arts as a means to greater economic development and investing millions of dollars in cultural activies, despite strained municipal budgets and fading federal support.
A. to greater economic development and investing (correct)
B. to greater development economically and investing
C. of greater economics development and invest
D. of greater development economically and invest
E. for greater economic development and the investment of
我的思路是,为了满足平行,后面一个必定是investing,再比较A和B,只能选A。答案没有问题
但是我搞不懂a means to和a means of 的区别,或者后面一种我们平时常见但在GMAT中是不能用的?
OG的解释是:
The idiom as a means to correctly communicates that stressing the arts is a methods for achieving greater economic development.
The idiom as a means of would incorrectly suggest that stressing the arts is a kind of greater economic development.
后面这句到底是什么意思呢?
求大神指点啊!!! |
