正确答案是a,  我能够理解D 选项did是错误的并且flourishing在这不该用（因为当要强调verb tense的时候that引导从句是不能改成ving的）。  但是抛开这道题的时态不考虑，如果civilization后面接了flourishing 的话，那flourishing词性是什么？是动词吗还是形容词啊？我对于这个ving的词性及用法这块一直搞不清。。。。求各位大神赐教！！

是adj phrase  因为前面没有comma 所以修饰前面的noun

Five fledgling sea eagles left their nests in western Scotland this summer, bringing to 34 the number of wild birds successfully raised since transplants from  Norway began in 1975.  这里的这个bringing是个什么词性啊？谢谢～

是adv phrase 修饰 perceding clause ，这里表示前面动作的结果

噢可是副词短语感觉一般不是“ly”这样的词吗？ving也可以做副词吗？还是不太懂。。求扫盲。。。
