50 times 修士谁呢？A substance还是licorice plant？

我来回答一下：

E错在扭曲了原文的意思。E的意思是 sucrose is from the licorice plant，而人家的原意是：a recently discovered substence is from the licorice plant.

我做这道题上来就把B扔了，看到了那么多逗号，错了之后分析一下好像只有B对，我来分析一下吧：

老实说这个题的结构没看懂，虽然写对了

当时的理解是

(B) A substance, which was recently discovered, from the licorice plant, 50 times sweeter than sucrose,红色部分做插入语

which。。。做定语修饰a substance。我觉得discovered 和后面的50times是连在一起的

否则50times。。。作为形容词短语修饰前面的plant，逻辑意思不合理啊

 

但是古镯说都做插入语 而且中间不要加and  
            不懂为什么？？？？？？

这结构我就看不懂了啊？？？

请问这到底是什么结构
