单复数问题 SC prep 2012

虽然这题我做对了，而且从几个选项来看，也只有平行的最一致，但是有些糊涂了，为什么代词用的是IT，而非them， collections of music ,不是应该用复数的吗？正如下面这题， force of Jupiter and its moons 需要用causes的单数形式？

这还应该从句意来理解，
第一题，还应该从平行的角度来看，transferring it from one format to another, copying it, and digitally altering it ，三个it平行，都指向了music。而不指代collections。

第二题，请认真读题，causes的发出者为the gravitational force 是一种东西，所以单数。

第一题，C里的them是不是在第一个平行里面的意思不对，因为them是个整体，不能transfer from on format to another?

根据句意这里只指代music，所以这里用it. 而不用them.

说实话我怎么觉得collections 也是可以被transfer  copy  alter的呢。。所以再想是不是上面我说的“them是个整体，不能transfer from one format to another”
