The authors describes two non-government plans to launch aircrafts and astronauts to Mars: one is from T, the other from L. T’s plan is to pass by the Mars without really landing on the surface, and the L’s plan is to send astronauts who will live on Mars ever since and then build a shelter station there. The articles thinks that although T’s plan has better chance to succeed, it still faces more obstacles to lead to a failure. And P’s plan is even more difficult to realize bcz it projects to realize the three ambitions at one time. In addition, the change of the president will also be adverse to NASA’s project. However, the cost of space activities is at the lowest point in history and there are still some people interested in participating the mission. For the ture-believers, nothing will stop them from trying.

The passage discribed a new kind of robot without head. It has four legs, which help it run very fast. In fact, it is the fastest in its category. And it is very light. These features make it competent for many kinds of tasks. Researchers are investigating further usage of this kind of robot.

The author talked about the PRISM, a hit topic during the last few month. It is the U.S government's top secret which used to catch our private data from IT companies like Facebook and Google. So as the secret was exposed to the public, the whole world was shocked. But the author suggested that we should not be shocked as we grant companies like Facebook and Google the private data and give them ways to hand over our private data to the government the moment we accept their privacy politics. The author also mentioned about how the U.S government gain our private data from the companies.
