【一道比较的题】<高阶>

【我知道  这个THAT正确答案是把它当做 the nerve lining. 我的意思是， 如果没有动词， 就成了宾语的比较。 i eat apple faster than you. 我吃苹果比吃你快。 而这个句子想表达的是 i eat apple faster than you do. 】

我总觉得这是主语的比较，一定需要一个动词的。
the nerve lining of a mouse's nose contains roughly the same number of olfactory receptorsas that of a human's nose
如果答案是这样， 那不就成了比较   老鼠的nerve lining 含有和 numer of a human's nose 一样的 number of olfacory receptors.
不是很荒谬么。。。

我觉得这里貌似就没有正确答案了。。。。

这里的that指代的是nerve lining 不是指代number。

LZ把主语比较的主体搞错了，那个that of a human's nose不是numer of a human's nose 而是the nerve lining of a human's nose。句子是说the nerve lining of a mouse's nose和the nerve lining of a human's nose 都有same number of olfactory receptors 。

对~ 我知道这个意思。 但是  主语比较的话需要 动词区分。 这个句子是主谓宾么？  如果是的话，没有动词，我可以把后面那个当做是宾语的比较~这样就很荒谬了。　对么？　i eat apple faster than you. 我吃苹果比吃你快。    I eat apple faster than you do.  这才是对的啊~

看来，您需要再巩固下比较状语从句，或者说再多看看这种结构的句子，本题does被省略，没有歧义，举个简单的类似例句：Eyes are as eloquent as lips (are).

话又说回来，您觉得numer of a human's nose 能有多少呢？一个人能有多少个鼻子？一个人鼻子的数量和嗅觉感受器的数量作比较？？作者脑子应该还正常吧？

是不是因为    X is tha same as Y   .  这是一个平行结构。X与Y平行，比较。  
其实这不是往常我们说的主谓宾比较的问题。 因为我实在是不能把这句话拆成一个完整的主谓宾。 如果剔除后面的比较，也就是Y那个部分后。。。。  谢谢~

个人觉得楼主如此执着于对于这一点的讨论是没有意义的，对于GMAT语法题的提高毫无帮助~整句读下来很清楚的可以看出比较对象，lining of mouse's nose和that of human's nose作比较，怎么看都是C选项正确~而且不会产生任何理解上的歧义。就算您证明了as that of human nose可能是与number of olfactory receptors平行，可能造成理解的歧义，对于楼主在选出正确答案有什么帮助？！

我不知道谁举的这样一个例子，I eat apple faster than you 。这是论坛里广为流传的一个用来说明主语比较比较被助动词/谓语的例子
但我这句话本身是正确的。他们举错了例子。
请看下面词典中的一句话；
Nobody understands the situation better than you
按你的理解是情况和人比较了？当然不是


而且说到底他们根本就没有明白这个句子的结构

还有主语比较要加助动词……，不知道是谁的总结。老听到有人说。
