【这道题到底是倒装还是其他用法？】prep一题

有解释说一、没有emerge of这种用法，最多有emerge from sth, 从哪里出来，所以还想着of 和 of平行的同学请自戳双目；二、a picture of patterns(图案)是说得通的，a picture of causes of ocean currents是不科学的，我大科学家们怎么可能画图来解释水流的原因。接着我们就会发现，这是个倒装句：a reasonably clear picture of the patterns has emerged，good，这一部分解决了，后面的是什么东西呢？老师告诉我们，所谓能省略的就是完全相同的所谓后面省略了have emerged。也就是补全了以后是： a reasonably clear picture of the patterns has emerged and causes of ocean currents have emerged. 为了简明，后半句省略。

但我看了manhattan网上RON讨论这块的问题，没有说到emerge of 错的用法。 其实我觉得根本就不是 emerge of.   
a picture has emerged   of<介词，关于> the (patterns and causes)<平行> of ocean currents.<共用>
至于为什么这个介宾要放在这里。 语法不够好，也没想明白确切是怎么一回事。   　只觉得也许是下面这个原因：
这是一个强调句。 去掉it is that  
句子为  only in the last half century a reasonably  clear picture has emerged of the patterns and causes of ocean currents.
manhattan曾经说，有时因为修饰过长，可以将其置后。
eg:A new CEO has been hired who will transform the company by decentralizing authority to various
division heads while increasing their accountability through the use of public scorecards。

a reasonably  clear picture has emerged of the patterns and causes of ocean currents.

可以这样理解么呢？

这个of是修饰picture的，放在emerge后面是为了避免句子头重脚轻

就是后面那个　修饰太长，可以后置的那个原因了咯～？

是这样。

那个解释很不好，“a picture of causes of ocean currents是不科学的”这个说法比较自以为是。事实上，the patterns and causes of ocean currents完全可以用一个图解来说明的，就象我们经常用一副示意图来解释大气水汽循环的原因和运作过程一样，所以，a picture 后面加of没问题，has emerged 在这里是从句谓语提前，避免过长的主语造成头重脚轻。
