Critical judgment of work in any givenfield has little value unless it comes from someone who is an expert in thatfield.

In this issue, the author asserts that criticaljudgment of work in any given field has little value unless it comes fromsomeone who is an expert in that field. Different people from different areawith respective backdrops and experience may hold different opinions. As far asI’m concerned, I don’t completely agree with the author’s claim. The followinganalysis will help support my standing.

Admittedly, the idea from the experts in acertain fields is valuable. Expert often grasp a good knowledge of the fieldthey are engaged in. With well informed of the history and prospect of thefield, they can more comprehensively and accurately analyze the currentcondition and promising development, so they can make more valuable judgment.For example, Chinese famous player LiuXiang, after got bad injury of his feet in2008 Beijing Olympics many experts prestigious doctors are transiently called togetherto make plans for his treatment.

However, the judgment from the experts outsidesthe field also has value. With the rapid development and more using ofinterdisciplinary knowledge, many problems cannot be solved only with guide ofexpert in a specific field. For example, the environment has become a globalwarming, it is not involved with ecology, but with national economy which oftensacrifices the environment for its own increase, also it is related with the elementaryeducation, which can help cultivate the teenagers’ sense of protecting environment.Besides, it is known that considerable economists have professional ability as mathematiciansbecause they usually need to establish mathematics models to predict thetendency of economy.

Finally, we should not ignore the judgmentof ordinary people. Ordinary people can give distinctive judgment in different prospective.For example, if a company wants to launch a new product, the expert may justgive judgment considering the appearance, originality, and quality. It is notenough to produce a new product. As a matter of fact, the judgment of consumersshould be attached more importance for their judgment can indicate theconsumers’ demands and preference and determine its selling in the market. Thehistory witnessed that any company is destined to be fail without takingconsumers’ judgment into consideration.

To sum up, the idea from the experts in acertain fields is valuable, which should take as the most important. But thejudgment from the experts outsides the field also has value. Moreover we shouldnot ignore the judgment of ordinary people, or we will be destined to fail.
