I'm curious to hear more about your Yale interview, specifically the "puzzle" question your interviewer asked. Did she ask you to solve a business problem? Can you elaborate on that? Not that I'm going to get that question. I'm still waiting for my invite! just curious... Thanks!

jane, the puzzle is not a business problem. It is like Chinese "脑筋急转弯" type of question. It is very rare to get this kind of question during the interview. I don't think it is Yale's standard question, so you don't need to worry about it. btw, which part of US are you at now?

Many students at Yale SOM have some biotech or medicalbackground.  Some pursue a joint degree of MBA and MD or PublicHealth.

SOM offers several healthcare mgmt related courses and there is a newEMBA program spefically focusing on healthcare mgmt.   I believe Yale is going to commit to the sector and build a strongbrand.

ruiyu- interesting that she asked you such a question during interview. guess it didn't have an impact on the eventual outcome I am currently on the east coast. I hope to go to sunny california after MBA are you applying to any programs in CA? I thought about applying to Berkeley, but I heard it's really competitive. oh well...

izone- are you currently at Yale SOM? have you seen lots of recruits from pharma/biotech? and what do Chinese students typically concentrate in? finance, strategy or marketing? thanks for any input!
