| Hi my friend, and thanks for your question! The first thing you must understand is that these programs are VERY different. Marketing and finance will lead to totally different career paths. My suggestion is that you consider the most important question first: what do you want to do in the future? Do you want to be a marketer, or would you rather be a financial analyst? If you’re not sure, do some research online and consider which career path would be most fulfilling to you. Forgetting for a moment that marketing and MSF are two very different programs, you also mentioned that you plan to go back to China after grad school. Purely from a perspective of reputation, JHU is a superior option. However, if you’d be happier with a career in finance rather than marketing, UMD may be a better choice for you.Hope this helps!
