不对
是BP coordinated book illustrations with her narratives.
A 选项coordinating有做状语修饰BP主句的嫌疑，而不是修饰in her illustrations B也一样
Cwhich指代illustration, 清楚明了
在指代修饰不清楚的情况下，最好用从句，这样比较明了

them显然没有指代啊兄弟，，凭空来一个代词怎么能行？
我觉得我还是给你造一个中文的句子，你对比一下； 在深山里，我看见它。  你看见的是什么？是深山吗？显然不是！对不对？
回到本题，them也一样不能去指代in 后边的名词

当语法，语感都不够好的时候我觉得把它变成一个中文的句子也是一个方法。毕竟汉语千年来没有语法的，它的语法都是根据英语来的。所以可以对照一下。
当然最好是用英语的思维处理英语。
this case OG says 'them' can not refer 'illustrations' as 'illustrations' is object of preposition. When I come across this problem I'm just getting confused. Ron can you pls explain this.

just MEMORIZE this as a case of something that is wrong.
seriously.
don't worry too hard about why; just remember that "things that look like this are wrong".
i am not kidding; that is BY FAR the easiest way to become competent at identifying these sorts of errors.

这是modifier的问题，a，coordinating修饰illustration错误，illustration并不能发出coordinating的动作. B，coordinating引导的modifier夹心修饰，即可以向前修饰illustrations，又可以向后修饰BP，修饰不清。记住两个modifier连用的用法一般都不对就ok

Bejamin,我不太同意你的观点，coordinating这个成分的确是修饰illustration的，但是illustration不可以作为coordinating的逻辑主语，而是宾语，这个动作只能是人发出的，所以A&B错，因为他们存在修饰歧义。
如果是错的，还请指正

没错没错！coordinating them中them指代illustrations,但是这个modifier的逻辑主语是BP,中间隔了in her book illustrations另外一个modifier,逻辑主语和modifier之间的距离太远导致修饰上的不准确。感谢指正！

分词夹心修饰啊，修饰太灵活，不如定语从句语义清晰。而且A选项主谓之间距离太远 not good

那就是代词指代一般都是指句子中心内容咯？比如i see a car that looks like a train, and it.......... it指代有问题否？
