【求助】参照OG和MANHATTAN，对rise higher这样的表达感到疑惑

B选项的错误原因包括rise higher意思重复，我想问higher可以修饰rise吗？
我在旧帖里查到有人说rise higher并没有语法错误，
但在MAHATTAN的13章中有一句话叫，In numerical comparisons, the words high and low, as well as higher and lower, should only be used as adjectives.
我看到DUKE大大解析说需要从意思上去判断。
可是还是纠结于rise higher到底有没有语法错误呢？
求高手解惑>_<

我觉得是重复。raise本来就是上升，不必再多higher，况且ｏｇ已经这么说了，那我们就别怀疑了，记住就好

从语法上来说，可以说rise higher是没有问题的，因为higher可以做副词，副词当然可以修饰动词；
但是GMAT从来不是只考语法的考试，即使从语法层面看rise higher可以接受，但是从表达层面来看，意思却有些重复，感觉awkward；
最重要的一点是，语法题的答案一定是比较出来的，B并非绝对错，但和正确答案相比，正确答案在语法上一定更完美（注意也不是绝对完美）、在表意上一定更准确更自然~

我查了OG13和12怎么都没有说这个rise higher表达重复的事儿呀？ 你看的是OG几呀？

是呀，我看的og13也没有说rise higher 重复，b的错误应该是其他地方吧

Rise Higher应该是可以的，有歌叫《Rise Higher》,在报纸上也可以找到。

楼上说的rise higher可以用应该是只在这种情况吧
China's sea level rise higher than world average.
中国的海平面涨了，陈述了一个事实，表示时间这个维度的上涨；涨的比世界平均水平更高，是另外一个事实，表示空间这个维度与世界水平的对比。
但是题目中
Heating-oil prices are expected to rise higer this year than last.......
rise表示相对去年涨了，higher也是相对于去年高了，都在时间这个维度上，所以rise higher 在这个地方是redundant的吧。

og17对B的解释是higher than，不能higher over，没有提到rise higher搭配不当；
后面more than的位置也不对，应紧跟a barral。
不过Manhattan提过rise higher算用词重复。
想请教，有遇到过类似rise higher冗余错误的选项吗？
