问一个关于OPT的问题

想问下，在美国读的本科申了OPT，现在决定FALL继续读研的话，OPT在读研的时候是什么状态？谢谢！

如果你现在美国本科毕业，申请了OPT，然后秋季读master，你的身份是F1的master，你的本科OPT自动截止。你master毕业可以申请另一个12个月的OPT。

简单来说，后一个身份生效意味着前一个身份失效，无论你前一个身份有效期到什么时候。

once your SEVIS number is transferred from your college to your grad school, your OPT is done. So if you want to work under OPT over the summer prior to your enrollment to your master's program, you want your SEVIS number to be transferred as late as possible. However your grad school is not going to issue a new I-20 for you unless they receive your SEVIS number, so it really depends on which one you wanna get first
