20. Most people in the United States view neither big nor small business as particularly efficient or dynamic and regard both as providing consumers with fairly priced goods and services. However, most people consistently perceive small business as a force for good in society


whereas big business is perceived as socially responsible only in times of prosperity. The statements above, if true would provide the strongest support for which one of the following hypotheses? 原文:美国很多人没将大小business看作有活力和有效率的。而是当作为消费者提供价格合理的商品和服务。但是,多数人坚持认为小business是社会良好的一股力量,相比之下,大BUSINESS仅在社会兴旺时负有社会责任。

其实说到底就是大小Business不仅仅提供商品和服务,还有其他作用。E就是这意思:美国很多人认为大business的社会责任不仅仅是提供价格合理的商品和服务。

If not be viewed as particularly efficient and dynamic, or not regard either as not providing consumers with fairly price goods or not providing consumers with fairly price services, it must be either big or small business
Small business ---> force for good in society

If not be viewed as particularly efficient and dynamic, or not regard either as not providing consumers with fairly price goods or not providing consumers with fairly price services ---> small business --->force for good in society

so, If not be viewed as particularly efficient and dynamic, or not regard either as not providing consumers with fairly price goods or not providing consumers with fairly price services---> only in times of prosperity that business be socially responsible.

which means that regardless whether big business could provide fairly price good and services or not, it is necessary forbid business tone socially responsible only if in times of prosperity. In another word, its a bigger concept for many people.

E. correct answer.
