2.E选项 cut这里是过去分词作定语修饰The first trenches。不作谓语。至于怎么判断，则需要平时加强语法的学习，语法基础打好了，自然就能判断。

3.英语中（无论哪本语法书都会明确告诉你），having done 分词结构不能作定语，只能作状语！
