倍数做前置定语的时候一定要紧邻修饰名词吗

我觉得这里的twice是做前置定语的，可是它修饰的20 percent中间还隔了个谓语，于是乎。。。。就觉得不正确，因为我在查看以前错题的时候有明确写着 前置定语，double as much as同位语修饰词，要紧接其修饰的内容，twice应该也是一样的吧，那这里怎么解释呢

这里twice是对前面句子的修饰，要不您先查个字典，研究一下词性先？

不对。。。搞晕掉了，twice是副词不能修饰名词的话，那么twice sth是什么用法呢。。。

这里twice修饰number，（twice the number）（ reported in the 1977 survey）其实就是一个noun+noun modifier独立主格成分，做状语修饰前句的谓语动词used，有什么问题吗

其实这么来讲，你要是用词性来判断做题得累死，还有很多出其不意的惯用法，不清楚亲亲已经复习打什么程度了，但是对于twice的基本用法应该是有所掌握：a.twice as much/manyas sth.。
b.twice + n.
本体其实就是twice的第二种用法，twice+number可以直接使用
