这题B对 但是我选了A。 这里thereby 后面是不是也可以和上面那题 一起看成省略了by.  (by) boosting  
这两道GWD 的题thereby 后面都是表示前一个动作带来的结果  1） touch带来的结果 2）stimulatedemand 带来的结果。。  所以我觉得 如果第一题正确答案是C这题正确答案也一定要是A。
BTW，第二题的demand 的被动看得有点不爽 becauseof + ving 是错的啊！！！
