Hi my friend, first let me say that your list is fine. However, in order to choose the most suitable program, you should first figure out what you want to do in the future. The MSF is more of a professional degree for finance. If you plan to stay in the States and land a job, the location of your MSF program is a very important factor. Fordham and IIT both have great locations, which will enable you to do more meaningful internships while you are studying at school. This is one of the most effective ways to find a full-time job after graduation. A solid internship is a fantastic stepping-stone to a great job in the future. I would also say that your GPA is your strongest point, so you’ll want to emphasize your academic ability in your essays. The potential to excel academically is something that admissions committees love to see. Hope this helps! Jon Frank HBS 2005 -- by 会员 JonFrank (2013/1/29 15:13:43)
Thank you for your valuable advice! What you said is really helpful to me. Now I am still applying and I will emphasize academc ability in my essays. I do plan to stay in US for 2-3 years and find a job in financial industry after graduation. Seeing your advice, I will pay more attention on location of the MSF program. Thanks again! |
