Yep probably. MBA is all about essay and the background check is not that serious.
But getting a top MBA means you have to throw away all the $$$ you saved in your back office career. And when you graduate at 28, you start from zero.
Worst of all, in your resume, you have "Goldman Sachs Finance Department" under your Harvard Business School. No great firm will give a shit to you because it only means you are a loser and nothing else. Your peers are from McKinsey, Morgan Stanley IBD, or more interesting background such as US Navy etc. You are just a dog in the back office. Maybe the only way is to network really hard during your MBA (which seems so difficult for an Asian man).
