这在manhattan，白勇好多语法书里都有提到，介词短语直接跟在宾语后会引起歧义：
以下是manhattan的例子：
I want to coach divers Like Greg Louganis  可以理解为：
I want to coach divers WHO ARE Like Greg Louganis
I want to coach divers IN THE SAME WAY AS Greg Louganis

刚搜这个问题的时候，发现有人说刘振明语法里这题不选A而是选C。姑且不说C中although这种用法是不是可以，但我觉得A确实有问题啊。

问题是一个名词sunspots为何要和一个短语dark spots on surface of the sun比较？平行结构的节操何在

关于介词短语修饰的歧义，还是要看逻辑意思，不能单纯看位置就说介词短语修饰有歧义。如果逻辑意思上因为成分不同而发生改变，这才是有歧义的

这个句子里面，on the surface of the sun无论是作为状语还是作为定语修饰dark spots都没有问题，逻辑上都是说“太阳黑子是太阳表面的黑点”

更可况这个句子是一个【主系表结构】，sunspots are visible as spots，sunspots和dark spots是等同~所以说介词短语无论是做状语修饰主语还是做定语修饰spots都不会有问题，都是对黑子状态的描述

另外，LZ还是不要因为非官方材料而否认OG，毕竟只有OG上的解答才是最贴近出题人本意的
