I'm verrrrry appreciate your earnest reply. Certainly, your words are much helpful for me. I firmly believe that there are numerous students who have the higher TOFEL and GMAT scores but also a way higher GPA. Probably I do think I can accomplish any task not worse than those people because I have the remarkable insight, logical thinking and even problem-solving ability on my standpoint. And actually, I must highlight all my advantage about my core competency to make up my weaknesses in account. But the issue is, almost all the applicants won't have such low disastrous GPA, and in the other hand, the students with such GPA won't apply for U.S. master college not even apply for a master studying. So, probably I am processing a historic thing, I dunno. I want to know whether there's probability to make this application success. And was someone apply for U.S. graduation college with semblable GPA and finnaly get an admission? As you know, you can only adopt the 3-year GPA to apply since you even haven't finished the undergraduate degree. About whether work first or not after graduae, my decision is apply for master studying first after deeply consideration. -- by 会员 okminus (2012/12/10 2:55:06)
Hi my friend, If you’ve made your decision to further your studies in the States directly rather than working, the question comes down to the school selection.
As you know, the applications for US Masters programs are extremely competitive. Many of the school will have a minimum GPA requirement. If your GPA is not good enough, they won’t even give you the chance to highlight your strengths in other documents. Cutthroat, my friend, very cutthroat. But there are some schools that will evaluate your application as a whole and may want to know more about you through your essays and other documents. So, researching schools is REALLY important for you.
For MSF, I’d suggest you start to research the websites of the third-tier schools, like American University or Pace University, and check their minimum requirements. After you nail down a few schools that are flexible on your GPA, it’s time to really focus on your essays. Hope this all helped, and best of luck!
