[求助]TWE009 考前冲刺,大家帮忙

twe 009 Some people prefer to live in a small town. Others prefer to live in a big city. Which place would you prefer to live in?

The issue of whether to live in a small town or live in a big city is a controversial one. Facing this question, different people will present different answers due to respective experiences and standpoints. Some claim that they like to live in a big city because they could enjoy more convenience there. Others, on the contrary, argue that living small towns is more preferable. As far as I am concerned, I would rather agree with the former than the latter. The reasons are listed as follows.

To begin with, a big city could provide people with more job opportunities. Compared to small towns, cities are more economically developed. In a big city, there are millions of companies and factories which create a large number of job vacancies.  A person, no matter what skills he owns, could easily find a job that suits him and earn enough money to support his family. However, in a countryside, where there are only one or two small factories, it is relatively difficult for people to get a satisfied job and their talents would be greatly limited.

Next, children could receive a better education in cities. In general, big cities are education centers which afford complete education systems ranging from kindergartens to universities. School teachers, who are well educated and have abundant experiences, could teach students a lot of useful knowledge. With such knowledge, students will gain enough confidence and be prepared for their future work. Moreover, there are many modern sports facilities such as spacious playground in cities’ schools. By playing sports games, students could not only keep physical fitness but foster their team spirits as well.

In addition, another advantage of living in cities is the convenience. Large shopping malls, hospitals, cinemas and restaurant could be found everywhere in a city. Such facilities bring much convenience to residents. For instance, people could buy daily necessities at their convenient time at a lower price, for there is always a 24-hour supermarket established near their communities. However, such convenience could not be easily gained if people choose to live in small towns.

Of course, it is obvious that living in small towns also has a couple of advantages, such as the fresh air and the gentle pace of living. But if all the factors are contemplated together, the advantages of living in big cities carry more weight than those of living in smalls towns. For the reasons which have been discussed above, it is safe for me to draw the conclusion that living in big cities is more preferable than living in small towns.
