答案选B，但是我有个疑问就是在D选项中，把 it hampers。。。。。和 results in 看成平行为什么不对？看了答案的解释也不是很明白

逻辑上，B选项的意思是，前面的整件事情导致之后的结果，而你选择D，那么and并列，and后面省略相同主语，于是主语就是study，也就是说，the study导致xxxxx，改变原文逻辑意思

有点明白了。。看来我的逻辑很不严谨啊，谢谢啦！

而且D有一个问题，and之后的results既可以和suggest并列，又可以和hampers并列；于是引起歧义，肯定不好；而这主要是因为and前面的一个逗号的存在。
反观B，and to do使得其明确和前面的to distinguish并列，多完美。

如果用results 和hampers平行，是表明conversatinal pace引起所有人的sense of speech，而不是children的，绝对是逻辑语义错误，那么正确的理解句意，hamper后面应该有两个内容，to distinguish和to make

（1）punctuation
一般來說，兩個成份用and連接，如果是短的phrase的話，要用“X and Y”，沒有comma。
如果是長的phrase/independent clause的話，要用“X, and Y”，有comma。

這裡假如lz要把hamper和result看成parallel的話，應該將中間的comma省去，直接相連。
而B項之所以沒有punctuation的問題，是因為and後面部份有插入語。另外，為免造成as a result不知道向前或向後修飾的歧義，注意這裡的and是跟在第一部份的內容，comma放在and後，隔開了兩部份內容。使讀者明白到as a result是修飾後面的內容的。

（2）distort meaning
按照原句的理解，conversational pace of everyday life只是hamper到小孩理解speech的能力；如果按照D項說not making sense of speech的話，就表示不能理解speech。能力削弱跟沒有能力是不同的。所以distort the author's intention.

谢谢了，我发现我做题容易死扣语法规则，所以有时候碰到语法对但是逻辑有问题的选项就做难了。谢谢！
