那请问各位NN， B中是不是也把hamper。。 作为了make sense 的原因了呢？

我个人理解的
A选项中先不说其他的错误to make sense of speech与distinguish discrete sounds and words之间的关系不再是平行的关系了，感觉是to make sense of speech作为了distinguish discrete sounds and words 的结果状语的感觉。。。
而B中这两个是平行关系的。而且从语义上面来讲B更加符合。

个人理解OG上的对于原句的解释是说（只针对楼主所说result的部分哈），原句中and，后面的the result is导出一个从句，而这个从句说的是the result is to make sense of speech，这样一来划线部分的意思就变成it （the conversational pace）hampers了孩子distinguish.. sounds and words的能力，结果是孩子make sense of speech了，这从句子意思上不符合逻辑。
B选项中,as a result,作为插入语，放在它前面的and所连接的两个动词不定式to distinguish与to make sense平行，表示it （the conversational pace）hampers 孩子的两种能力。
