我的理解是，
except确实可以做连词，但是连词后面应该跟句子，所以这里不可能做连词用。

我的理解是，
except确实可以做连词，但是连词后面应该跟句子，所以这里不可能做连词用。

是啊，但是我觉得这里根据 句子的意思 来看，要被"排除"的部分不是后面整个句子，而只是the domains of administration and teaching 这个领域，所以用介词except

except做连词也有除了的意思呀，应该也可以理解成排除 the domains of administration and teaching 的意思把？？ 啊我有点混乱

那第二个问题怎么解答啊 求解释 not only...but  also 那个问题

no idea, I am not quite sure about this sweeping conclusion

I will eliminate because of “ not only ... but also"


also, the verb form of gave is also problematic


I have seen not-so-good parallelism presented by GMAT correct choices ( tons of this example)
