In no other historical sighting did Halley’s comet cause such a worldwide sensation as in its return of 1910-1911
A large rise in the number of housing starts in the coming year should boost new construction dollars by several billion dollars, making the construction industry’s economic health much more robust than it was five years ago
To develop more accurate population forecasts, demographers would have to know a great deal more than they do now about the social and economic determinants of fertility

OG10- 198. Although Napoleon's armyentered Russia with far more supplies than they had in their previous campaigns, it had provisions for only twenty-four days.

(A)theyhadin their previous campaigns

(B)their previous campaigns had had

(C)theyhad for any previous campaign

(D)intheir previous campaigns

(E)for any previous campaign

或者与【for...】

Although N’ army entered R with far more supplies for campaignthan it had hadfor any previous campaign.

Although N’ army entered R with far more supplies (for this campain) than (supplies) for any previous campaign。。。。唉。。

因为前面的题...would have to know a a great deal more than THEY DO NOW...

我觉得是没有问题的,因为LZ给的例子...would have to know a a great deal more than THEY DO NOW...

There are no legal limits, as there are for cod and haddock, on the size of monkfish that can be caught, a circumstance that contributes to their depletion through overfishing.
