A:FreemanDays is the premier networking, recruiting and corporate connection event thatbrings some of the best talent the Freeman School of Business has to offer anddelivers them directly to your doorstep. Held in four cities (New York,Houston, Chicago, and New Orleans) across the country, students travel to thosecities to investigate the opportunities that are available to them.

Q: If a large amount of recruiting occurs earlyin the program, how can MFINs/MMG prepare with so little time at the FreemanSchool?

A:Students should startresearching companies and opportunities as soon as they decide to enroll in theprogram. The more an individual knows about the industry and career pathsavailable, the easier it will be for them to focus their time on finding a positionthat is the right fit for them. Once they start the program it isimportant to schedule at least one hour each week towards their job search.

Q: Does the lack of an internship during theprogram affect future job prospects?

A: Past experiences alwaysplay a part in the decision making process for employers. Some studentsgain experience in the workforce through internships or part-time jobs, whileothers gain hands-on experiences in the classroom. Employers also prefer studentswho have been involved in activities outside of the classroom – studentorganizations, community service, or volunteer work., etc. The most competitivecandidates will have a combination of these experiences.

A:The most importantaction any student can take to increase their career prospects is to develop astrong professional network. In order to effectively do so, students musthave (or develop) effective communication and interpersonal skills.
要想有个美好的职业前景最重要的一点就是建立一个强有力的人际关系网。而建立这个人际关系网的前提，就是需要学生能够拥有有效的人际沟通技巧。

Q: What are the placement prospects forinternational students in the United States?
国际学生在美国的就业前景是怎样的？
A:Unfortunately,placement prospects for international students are not good. The financeindustry is highly competitive for all applicants – foreign and domestic – andthe communication challenges many of our international students face put themat a disadvantage. Companies also are not inclined to pay for sponsorshipof an international applicant when they can hire a US citizen for less of aninvestment.
首先要说声不好意思，国际学生在美国的就业前景并不是那么的乐观。金融行业竞争非常激烈-国外和国内-而且国际学生面临的语言沟通的挑战对他们来说又是一个劣势。同时那些能够以较少的成本招聘一个美国公民的公司并不是很乐意给国际应聘者支付赞助服务。

Q: Do you offer fellowships (scholarships)in the MFIN program?
MFIN项目提供助学金（奖学金）么？
A:The Freeman School selects a minimum number of domestic MFIN students toreceive partial merit based fellowships. All domestic applicants are automatically reviewed for a fellowshipaward at the same time as the admissions decision. Fellowships are not available forinternational applicants to the MFIN program. Check with Pat for updatedpolicy!!!
Freeman商学院只会给少数的国内MFIN学生发放部分优秀学生奖学金。对于国内学生一旦被录取则被自动地被作为奖学金候选人。但是MFIN项目对国际学生不提供奖学金。请关注实时的政策！！！

Q: What types offinancial aid (student loans and work study) are available to students?
都有哪些经济资助（学生贷款和工作研究）给学生提供呢？
A: Students may apply for federalneed-based financial aid in the form of student loans and work study to coverall educational expenses (tuition, fees, room, board, books, travel and miscellaneousexpenses) up to the cost of education. In order to be considered forfederal financial aid as a graduate student (no parental data required),students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) byvisiting www.fafsa.ed.gov and request that their information besent to Tulane University.
学生可以申请联邦政府根据需要而提供的经济资助（学生贷款和工作研究）去支付教育支出（学费，学杂费，租房，教材，旅游和其他支出），甚至可以全部支付该费用。为了能够作为研究生（不需要父母亲资料）申请到经济资助，学生应该到Federal Student Aid（FAFSA）网站www.fafsa.ed.gove完成Free Application申请表,并且要求将他们的相关信息被转送到Tulane University。
