basED on... 而主句主语是人，人怎么能被based on 呢？逻辑关系错。basing on 还说得过去。

on the basis of 就没有逻辑歧义。

楼上的解释不对的。经常会有这样的说法：Based on ........,the U.S. president Bushi...........，以前曾有帖子讨论过based on的这个用法，但记不清是那个帖子了。

我的体会是, 在使用介词短语时, 绝大多数时候不需要考虑逻辑主语的问题.

最简单的方法就是把主句主语还原到短语前面，现在分词短语用主动语态，过去分词短语用被动语态，看看逻辑意思是不是合理。
