UBC的MBA要求85%的本科成绩, 低过这个是不是就没希望了?

I am not sure about it yet until now. For me,. my gpa is lower than the requirement listed on the website and i just received a call from UBC, maybe they are just testing whether i could speak english since there is no interview for the ubc application. I think it is an positive sign and maybe my application is just in the process of the graduate facauty since almost ten days past and there is no reject letter.

So i just told you about my story this year application and be yourself. my feeling is that if your working experience is good enough, which could compensate the shortage of the gpa, you have chance. never give up before starting up.go ahead.

Thanks for your reply. As far as you know, does ubc tend to enroll those with years of work experience or those relatively young? And could your please elaborate a bit on your background for my reference? thanks and best wishes.

I guess ubc maybe prefer the applicant with years of working experience since the average age of the candidate of ubc MBA students is 30 years listed on the website, the average of working experience is 6  years.

Neverthless i know two students there last year who are 28 years old or so.

我只选择了温哥华的两间大学的商学院，Simon Fraser(Segal)与UBC（Sauder)，原因无他，只因为那边的环境比较好，而且这两间大学很容易报。UBC已经确认收我了，Simon Fraser则说他们的Marketing MBA明年不开课，要后年才开课，不过我一样可以转考他们其他专业的MBA。

Schulich我开始打算报考，但是我来到多伦多住了一段，总觉得York大学的声誉其实并没有想象中高，尤其是近几年更差，所以即使我的GMAT成绩和推荐信全部都寄到York，但是我的申请一直没有递到York。现在UBC既然接收我，我就去读UBC了。温哥华实在是一个超级美丽的城市。

另外，我的GMAT只不过580，GPA也不过3.0，雅思7分（除了一个是6分，其他全部是7分或以上），9年工作经验（绝大部分是大型外企），一申请UBC他们就收了（我是加拿大永久居民身份）。UBC打过一次电话来跟我交谈，确认我的英文水准可以应付MBA课程的要求，其余时间非常顺利，从11月最后一天申请，12月23日（圣诞假期前的最后一天）就已经确认接收了，总用时不足一个月。如果大家以后申请UBC，有机会成为同学了。

我毕业10年多了，目前住在温哥华，今年准备申请加拿大的商学院。但当年大学成绩的GPA很低，如果按照标准
4.0的算法（不是改良的那种），我只有不到2.5，而用4.3的标准，我的GPA超过了3.4。听说加拿大的商学院只要GPA超过3.0或3.3就可以
了，不知道是用哪种GPA算法。也有人告诉我只要把大学成绩单交给他们就行了，不必要换算，无论达到GPA标准与否，由学校来决定。我倒是问过UBC（卑
诗大学），他们说 "85% is B+". 我不太明白85%是什么意思，是说85分为B+,还是说在所有上过的课程中85%必须超过B+.

        

这个4分的标准非常公平，我的专业在当年很难，平均的毕业率只有77%（学校平均95%），相对当时某些专业，比如社会科学系的很多专业，我们的分数没有
可比性，也无法真正反映我们的学术能力，但现在已经是这样了。如果真的不行，难道因为一个GPA商学院就把我拒之门外了么？不知您是否知道对此有何解决方
法？

我工作经历中在国内一个北美大公司工作6年，其中担任部门经理3年。英语水平一般，也就是能听能说能写而已，达不到流利。TOEFL/TWE：600/4，GMAT还没考，ESSAY还没写，惭愧。不知我的条件如何？

UBC's MBA office offers pre-assessment, you can send your resume, GMAT score, and (unofficial) transcript to them via e-mail or fax, they should be able to tell you whether your GPA is acceptable.

由于加拿大西部就2所好学校，竞争非常的激烈，UBC和SFU超变态，他们极度看中GPA，恨不得收进去的每个都是85以上的
