那是不是说 如果主句里没有 S+Be + Ved/Ving,  but + Ved/ Ved 就一定会引歧义。

好久以前提的问题啊。。。

我不太清楚你的问题，但是如果but后面跟了动词，它就是连词，主句和从句主语相同的情况下，从句主语省略很常见，所以不会引起歧义，就像The Iroquois were planters, but were also farmers. (自己变得句子，语义怪怪的，你理解意思就好）。。。
