诶，加逗号会引起歧义么？那如果不加的话呢？
看CD上面说：
4）主语+谓语+宾语，with短语。with短语修饰宾语，with表示“有”的意思，例如，og114

还有一个问题想请教：
说到without，想到了verbal的70题：
The gyrfalcon, an Arctic bird of prey, has survived a close brush with extinction; its numbers are now five times greater than when the use of DDT was sharply restricted in the early 1970's.

A.extinction; its numbers are now five times greater than
B.extinction; its numbers are now five times more than
C.extinction, their numbers now fivefold what they were
D.extinction, now with fivefold the numbers they had
E.extinction, now with numbers five times greater than

D和E的with如果用CD推荐的方法看（http://forum.chasedream.com/GMAT_SC/thread-80567-1-1.html），那是修饰宾语，也就是brush？则错误。

觉得楼主引用的那篇帖子挺扯的。
D,E如果没有语法错误的话，表示伴随状态，为啥楼主总是觉得是修饰呢，搞得好复杂。


D错在fivefold的主语是谁在句子中缺失了，number 不是自己fivefold的
E里面Manhattan说过，n times more than not greater than.

就是说这里是修饰extinction么？不是修饰brush？

哦~~你刚刚又问了lacking是吧？。。doing在句尾：一是做结果状语，一是做伴随状语，一是做（主句为~主系表结构）修饰主语。。。。。你看看有那种条件含义吗？？。。不过刚刚那个NN说道，放句首修饰主语，含义上是可以的啦，不过还是改变了语气。。。‘（就题论题吧，不需要想怎么改》》》知道为什么错就可以了）

小猫，还是帮我解决刚才with的那个问题吧，好纠结，什么时候伴随什么时候修饰呢？这个修饰的歧义在哪里呢

我觉得meaning是很重要的criterion，加comma，放句前句后都很tricky，用意思去判断，make sense

嗯，是的是的，但是如果意思把握不准很难判断，我还是把语法放第一位的

觉得这个说的对：
1. with结构在句子中的位置： with 结构在句中作状语，表示时间、条件、原因时一般放在句子前面，并用逗号与句子分开;表示方式和伴随状况时一般放在句子后面，不用逗号分开。若with结构作定语，则放在所修饰的名词之后，一般不用逗号隔开。

而我给出的这个问题，我觉得with是做独立主格.........对不对？
