consulting fans,  seriously recomd to apply INSEAD,   lbs has very limited alumni network in consulting in AP region except jap, very limited resources and CS support,

35%  ? looks good, but more than half of them are sponsored consultants returning to previous firms. Statistics are manipulated.

Just out of curiosity. What's LZ's career goal?  Does this mean LBS's CS is not as strong as expected...?

1.
a - Career Service: 4位专门负责consulting sector, 还有很多generalist教申请文书修改，求职策略，演讲培训等等。
b - Corporate Partner. LBS是几乎所有top consulting firms的core school. 所以从day 1开始就有公司进校园做培训，教大家准备case etc. 每家公司都希望夺得最优秀的人才。
c - Consulting Club.
d - Learn from your peers
2. 生活费因为每个人的水准跟时间都不一样，很难估计。举例说明，在学校周围的一居室公寓月租金在1200磅左右，而远的地段就能便宜30%左右。
3.MBA的课程跟别的项目不一样。上core课都是MBA同一个班约80个同学一起上， elective就有可能碰到Emba的学生。
4.你指的“当地”是什么地方？建议到LinkedIn上搜
5.会有Online Chat session. 圣诞期间可能不那么频繁。请参考学校网站看具体安排。

mine is consulting too,

the head of consulting career service is fired just a couple of days ago. a lot of students complained about him discouraging us and have not done so much valuable work for students

most the case practice you will have is with peers, who are in same position, non experience.  they started organizing case practice with sponsored consultants in MBA, but you usually have one slot per week, and sponsored consultants are not trainers, how much they can help you, imagine yourself

core target school for consulting is only for EMEA region, + Japan, maybe + south america , no Chinese ever got full time offer from top or 2nd tier consulting offer in Europe office. For AP region, MBB do recruit, but every year only a few Chinese (1 -2 usually, only 1 this year ) lucky guys get offer from AP offices. Some 2nd tier firms iAP offices don't recruit from LBS, i.e  Booz, LEK etc.  If you have employment report just 10 years ago in 2004 . 2005 etc,  you will find out by that time LBS placed only around 10 out of 280 MBA in total into top consulting. They started pushing consulting placement after financial crisis.  It's a long way to catch up with INSEAD, in terms of alumni network, CS etc. If you know some INSEADers, you will see how their consulting career service like.

What about banking industry and PE/VC?  I'm planning to apply 2014 entry and want to join PE firms after graduation. Currently, I'm in my fourth year in IB.

客观的说，MKT的资源还是可以的，周围一些有跨国公司MKT背景的人找工都不错，我倒是觉得反而finance的机会较少

PE这个路径，找工作都靠自己之前的经验和人脉，不要指望学校的career service

One last question. What about scholarship coverage? Roughly, what's the percentage of new in-takes will get a scholarship and how much will that be?

10 % -15 %, for Chinese, only 1 -2 person / year,  average is 15 - 20k GBP
