Dear Admission Officers,



I am writing with great pleasure to recommend XXX for his MBA study in your honored university.



As the Associate Professor of Finance Department, Economic School at Peking University, I became acquainted with Mr. X in March, 2011 on the seminar about The Operation & Management of Private Equity (PE). In the constant case-discussions, I found that Mr. X is an outstanding student with a wide range of knowledge and critical thinking.



Firstly, he is able to conduct interdisciplinary studies with a clear mind. PE is a professional term in financial field while closely connecting with law in the aspects of company's structure and contract. Therefore, to learn PE well, students need to be knowledgeable in both majors. XXX is such a student who has laid a solid foundation in both law and finance. That is why he could give a quicker, better and clearer response than others to my questions during the lectures. Considering his good performance, I believe, he is capable of employing what he has mastered to facilitate his study in MBA.



Secondly, he could actively apply theories in solving practical problems. For example, when Libya War was in progress, he once asked me about the influence of this war on the circulation of dollar in Middle East. After my explanation, he reflected for a while and stated his own opinions logically, together with the theory I introduced on that class. I was greatly impressed by his initiative in study.



Thirdly, he excelled in communication. Young as he was, he was not scared and could communicate smoothly with entrepreneurs who are ten-year’s senior than him. His opinions were up to the point rather than exaggerated or shallow. When he was a bit immature in thoughts, he would take others’ ideas and suggestions modestly. Similarly, in the future study, he might do group projects with classmates of different ages, culture backgrounds and experience. Then his strong communication capability will benefit him a lot and help him adapt to the new learning atmosphere quickly.



Based on my interaction with Mr. X, I truly believe he deserves the opportunity to enter an MBA program for further study, for he would definitely benefit from and contribute to the program, with the qualities he has demonstrated. I am confident that he has the potential to be a successful businessman in the future. So I strongly recommend him to you.
