背景弱弱求定位 Columbia 春季有希望么

嗯~~~比较下来你的背景肯定要比我好~
方向还是不一样。你是数学本科申金融~估计精算，统计这写肯定不会申请了，要申也是冲top MMF MFE。。。
我是金融转quantitative finance，MFE一个背景不够硬另外真心也没那个精力学。。倒是想随便冲个名校的title，精算自己就能考，一月开始FAP。

其实好多人也推荐我申quan fin，跟mfe差不多，还是很多编程的跟数学的东西，据说以后进了wall street也是常年编程= =不是很想去申。。。。你在purdue？

quan fin 也不好申~~估计大家都是跟MFE放一起申的~~我是没精力常年编程那种活~~~~~~~吃不了那苦哈~~~~~背景也不强随便读个名校的program自己考精算师去~~~~

BTW， 春天项目有考虑么~~~不过也没有什么MMF,MFE。。是年底毕业还是明年春

Howdy, partner! So, your GPA and GRE aren't bad, but they're not STELLAR, either. What helps you out here is your ECs, which are SOLID, dude, especially the Math prize and the internships, which show your numbers experience/talent and use of your skills outside the classroom. All that said, this is an issue of timing. If you are going to have a chance at Columbia, or any other big program, you've got to apply Fall. ED for the MBA program, for sure.  It shows your seriousness about the program, and the spring just... well, there aren't as many slots, and the adcoms have been looking at apps for MONTHS, so you've got a better chance of getting lost in the shuffle. I hope this helps, my friend, and please reach out if you need any more input!
