"as" is different from "than"...

A as ... as A2...it's better to keep a verb form...(A1) and (A2) refer to the same thing...(A2) can be omitted without distorting the sentence.

请大家比较这两组句子，第一组两个句子意思会有歧义，第一个可能是一样的狗，又吃meat又吃apple，第二个是两批狗，各自吃不同的东西。

第二组两个句子没有歧义，都是在比较前后Americans的数量多少。

还是觉得Ｅ，因为

Ｄ是According to a 1996 survey, more than three times as many institutions charge fees of under $8,000 a year as charge over $16,000.

这样就是ＣＨＡＲＧＥ自身的比较了，

但是明显逻辑上比较的是ＩＮＳＴＩＴＵＴＩＯＮＳ

投D一票，始终觉得E里的charging不对。

有没有人prep做到这题阿，本来对答案认为24-28当中E是对的，可是看讨论帖发现有人做prep碰到了答案是D，虽然我始终觉得28的D长得不太顺眼

E is better for clarify ambiguity;D could be misunderstood as:

经findjuhl一说，偶又真觉得这里有歧义。。。

从来没有见过一题这么拗口的东东，还讨论了几年都没有一个说法，太可怕鸟。。。

本来觉得D一定系对的，现在想想，句子的意思确实是要比较institution而不系charge，所以those是一定要补出的，虽然那个charging有点奇怪，应该还是选E吧。。。

今天也做到这题,看到charging 太奇怪,就选了D.一对答案发现错了,上来CD看看讨论,发现原来两年来到底是D还是E,居然都还没有定论.这种题目真是奇怪,难道D和E都可以?

估计这道题目在当初出的时候是不计分的,经过数次考试后ETS发现选D和选E的人一样多,于是乎就删了这题,并且出这题的人被扣了奖金......

不过这道题目拿出来讨论讨论还是挺好的,可以学到不少东西,至于答案,就不要非得查个究竟了吧.
