Dear Lisa,  I know there are a lot of discussions with regard to the two request forms, ie, the script request form and the reference request form. Some ppl insist that they're necessary and you cannot do without it for your application while still some others say they are redundant and you can just rest assured even without them. Got somewhat confused.  Lisa, could you clarify that?  Tks.

我自己是嚴格按照要求辦的 我覺得有些人可能是運氣好 本身申請材料就很全很官方很正式 審材料的人時間又比較緊 沒有特別糾結那張表 但後期項目變傲嬌了 可能以這個為理由判你材料不齊導致delay你也沒辦法argue 畢竟是你先不按要求來的不是麼？ 所以有條件還是按要求來吧 至少比較理直氣壯～～

Lisa, is it possible for chinese students to go to usa for sight-seeing during vacation? Is US visa a problem? u said many ppl went to NY by bus. I'm wondering how they had applied their visa.

through the us consulate general located in downtown, it's quick and easy, once u're in Toronto/Canada, entering the US is a piece of cake~~

yes it is, and once you get the "green card" of Canada, you can be granted 10-year-long US VISA whenever you apply for it~~currently int'l student gets 1-year-long ones, but it doesn't hurt since it's fairly easy to reapply~~
