..菜鸟一只，我的看法是...OG是这样说的：rather to come does not idiomatically complete the sentence...就是说，或许rather to  come 能够补充完整第二句，但是这个用法就是错的 不是idiom~
简单的说 OG的意思：rather to come 不是习惯用法  而 and instead come 才是

有几个问题
1. “对于副词来说，其后面一定是要加句子的，你也说到了，所以rather to do就错了。”这里不明白为什么副词后面一定要加句子。我觉得只有说连词后面要加句子的，但是副词后面要加句子，不知道该怎么理解。
2.B选项：According to some analysts, the gains in the stock market reflect growing confidence in the economy to avoid the recession, what many feared earlier in the year, rather to come in for a “soft landing,” followed by a gradual increase in business activity.
是不是说to avoid, rather to come作为句末不定式，有修饰歧义，一是修饰主句谓语reflect，或者作定语修饰confidence。排除what不能引导定语从句外，是不是在rather前面加上but这个句子就可以complete了呢？
3.C选项，即便instead不能直接+to do，但是人家前面跟了个and连词啊，这样就可以和前面的to avoid平行了啊，怎么就不能complete the sentence啊。。。。
副词不能加to do，但我加了and,but之类的连词总可以了吧，仍然不理解啊~
