哪位大虾听过"will be to do"的用法，郁闷......

1. be to do 表主观，在GMAT这么那个的什么中不合适

2. will表将来，be to do 也有将来的意味，这不是语义重复吗？

意思不是这样的。分隔不对

应该是will be...什么什么。

什么呢？ to do sth.

比如 our focus is to improve overall fitness.

变成将来时：our focus will be to improve overall fitness.

我的理解))

BTW: 我考到这种题目。好象是the challenge will be to ... to ...and to.....

be to do 应该是指后面的行为是对主语的解释

懂了，sth is xxx。

xxx就是to do sth

is是系动词，be to do是另外的固定搭配。

可是sth A is to do sthB里，不就有将来的意味嘛？还有必要在用将来时嘛？

再加上个“will”？？？

sth will be sth ,但是后面一个sth 如果想表达一个动作，则换成 to do sth, 比如，在中文里说：我们的目标将是解决这个问题，那么翻译的话就是：our aim will be to solve the problem.(不过这个例子有点牵强)大概就是这种意思吧，这个只能说是一种语法现象，谈不上时态，顶多就是一个一般将来时

 a particular asteroid or comet will be likely to collide
