opposition against 是固定短语吗？我觉得oppose就有against的意思了。加一个against是累赘。
第二题percent后面的单复数看percent后面修饰的名词决定。
第三题，b 中的respected没有主语，而且a中的宾语是a return to sth,，画线部分是宾语补足语，所以补出了to sth...

percent后面谓语用单数还是复数，应该根据of后面的名词来决定，如果是可数的复数名词谓语就用复数，是不可数或可数单数名词谓语就用单数, 而不是不变的用单数！如果percent换成fraction也是一样~

不知道你是mm还是姐姐，不过真佩服你打破沙锅问到底的劲头！
leaf 和 small-stem都是名词，在这里是修饰material的；
as much as 20 percent of the leaf and small-stem material 意思就是：有相当于20%的叶子和短枝，material不一定要翻译，但你注意看前面的much就可以推断material一定是不可数名词，所以句子谓语用单数。
