D选项，还是不清楚错在什么地方。

我原本认为D正确的原因是，我以为开头那个opening clause是主句主语的modifier，而且逻辑上也讲的过去，但是仔细一看第二个比较的比较结构是不完整的。
另外，原句含有一个causal connection，D选项也没有表现出来。

嗯，我也注意到了第二个比较不完整，缺than the moon,但为什么在B的格式下，仍然缺少同样的成分就算正确呢？确实在D中有weaken因果关系，但这样的subtle difference一般情况下不足矣让GMAT把选项划为错误。

我基本可以肯定，D中and链接两端比较级不完整是错误的，因为以前碰到过。但纳闷为什么在B的格式下省略than the moon就允许，wonder怎么来justify this use.

是这样的，你说的没错啊。

既然than the moon都省略了，那这就不是split了，大家都一样了，除此之外的选项还有别的相比起来有好坏区分的地方，依然能选出正确答案。

对了，要不你看看能不能找到之前省略后错误的那个题？应该能发现点什么。

因为自己错误选了D，所以一直在琢磨B跟D选项，产生了下面的一点理解。

1. 在正确答案B中，作者主要想表达的是因为太阳这么远，所以它看上去和月亮差不多大。但作者在提到距离特征之前停下来补充了太阳有多大，and set off this supplement by comma，从这里可以看出两个特征在priority上不对等，从meaning也可以很顺利的从which从句里将比较对象the moon承接到第二个比较级,farther than。然而在语法上我无法justify这样的用法。
2. 关于D选项，我猜and链接了两个本不对等的比较级，所以错误。且第二个比较级不完整（farther than the moon在这里不能很容易的understood），也应该错误。
babybearmm能否在B,D选项上说说你的看法。谢谢！

建议看看官方解释吧，我觉得说得挺清楚的。这题D的解释如下：
D. The possessive form Moon's introduces ambiguity. The Sun has the same apparent size as the Moon 's what? It would have been clearer and more parallel to write the Sun has the same apparent size in the sky as the Moon has.

关于1，你前面那句话分析得很对，后面你说“然而在语法上我无法justify这样的用法”，我不太明白你指的是什么，是说不合语法吗？
这题正确句子：
The Sun, which is 400 times larger than the Moon, is also 400 times farther away from Earth, so the Sun and the Moon have the same apparent size in the sky.
你来试试看改成下面这样：
The Sun, which is 400 times farther away from Earth than the Moon, is also 400 times larger, so the Sun and the Moon have the same apparent size in the sky.
你觉得改动之后的句子逻辑合理么？有没觉得很别扭，不如原句好？

谢谢你的回复。Sorry，当时不知道这题有官方解释。

从D选项的错误是否可以infer出，

1. Laos has the same land area as Great Brain's.  --- Unclear
2. Laos has the same land area as Great Brain's land area.  --- Okay, but a bit wordy
3. Laos has the same land area as that of Great Brain. --- Good

我开始也觉得像是在比较Sun跟Moon's，但后来记起一道PREP，如下，

Laos has a land area about the same as Great Britain---这里的比较是错误的, area to GB。D选项里的是否可以用同一个逻辑来判断比较对象错误呢？

Laos has a land area about the same as Great Britain这一句的比较对象是land area，所以后面也要用that of Great Britain。上面的题目D选项the Sun has the same apparent size in the sky as Moon's.比较的是sun和moon所以不能用moon's。
仔细看两个句子当中 the same as 的位置稍微有一些不同所以比较对象也有区别。
