I have confidence in my background and can find out many reasons why Columbia suits me, but just don't wanna waste money on a school which is said to have been not friendly to Chinese applicants with few success rate records. If I have decided to apply, I will be sure to try my best.

It just occured to me that I knew three Columbia MBAs who were all from Mainland China. They never felt that. Sometimes there are already rumors somewhere, you have to open your mind and eyes open.

Of course Columbia did give offer to some mainland students, and of course you won't feel anything wrong once you are admitted and are on campus. The issue is what actually happens during the evaluation process and is there any control over the proportion of Chinese students... Anyway, no one knows that.

Rumor is rumor but sometimes when you hear about something happened so far away, how can you judge whether it is rumor or not? Actually the original cause of this discussion is exactly the rumor you called.
