求助！OG 12 sSC 93 E选项的问题。

看完了之前的帖子，我都还是没有弄明白这个问题。所以我只好再问问大家。
E选项OG说：the possessive last year's doesn't parallel the adverbial phrase this year.
如果理解成状语this year和last year‘s比较我能够明白一定比较错了。可是我看到E选项我的第一反应是last year's是主语的省略，即：last year's (heating-oil prices )就变heating-oil prices  this years和last year's (heating-oil prices )主语比较了。我就觉得是对的。
请问大家这样理解哪里出了问题吗？

对的，其实小菜也感觉看到那个东西之后有种比较主语的感觉~可是，lz说的是从语法上看，但却没有分析逻辑上的意思，从逻辑意思上讲：


heating-oil prices  this years和last year's (heating-oil prices ) 这两个东东不是“同类别”的东西：一个是油价，一个是去年；
而且倾向的重心也不同，油价应该和油价比，时间应该和时间比~
这是一种rhetorical construction~ 有种比较美在里面~不能乱写~

对对，就是有比较美。后来我去看了比较之庖丁解牛，又问了一个大N，搞明白了，OG里面比较，前后的结构都几乎是完美对应。
这句如果是主语比较，应该是heating-oil prices this years和heating-oil prices  last year对应。而last year's这种结构表示主语前面根本就没有对应，不能这么比。last year's只能是用错了的状语比较。正确的是this year和last year比。

哦~~~！
听版主的，回去E选项仔细读了几遍，更理解【比较对象主语的修饰限定范围内】这句话了。heating-oil prices wil rise higher this year 这里的状语this year是修饰的整句话，而非主语，主语只有heating-oil prices ，和last year's heating oil prices,根本就无法比较。

bat小人我斗胆觉得您解释的不太好，即使前面是This year's heating oil prices，后面比较的时候应该是that of last year，曼哈顿里代词那张讲过的，也就是说than last year's这种形式本身就是有问题的^_^说错别封我号啊！

版主，你说的比较对象不平行，是指语义上的不平行，而不是语法形式上的不平行对吗？
就是说因为两个比较对象不合理对吗？比如说可以苹果的产量和梨的产量比，但不能说苹果的产量和今年苹果的产量比或者苹果的产量和水果的产量比？
所以如果写成heating-oil prices of this year will be higher this year than last year's 就对了对吗？

heat-oil prices of this year will be higher this year than last year's 显然不可能对，不能再wordy了。

这道题E选项不妨这样理解，than有两种比较对象的可能性：

可能性一：heating-oil prices 和 last year's(heating-oil prices)比；
但是，heating-oil prices（简称ho）是主语，是rise这个动作的发出者，如果把last year's 和ho比，其实是把last year's也进行rise这个动作，然后相比。（体会一下：Tom runs faster than Jack does. 比较主语的时候，是不可能脱离谓语动词只比较两个名字的）
所以相当于是 heating-oil prices will rise higher this year than last year's(heat-oil prices) rose.
到这里可以看出，上面这个结构显然是不对的，第一：heating-oil prices 和 last year's(heating-oil prices)不是逻辑可比对象；第二，last year's(heat-oil prices) rose涉及到了the year before last year,显然不是本题的范畴。综上，可能性一不成立。

那么只有是可能性二：this year这个时间状语 和 last year's 比，于是OG就说了这也不平行。所以E排除。

但是我同意E还有一个隐藏更深但更好的排除理由，就是它把整个句子都作为了expected修饰的对象了，但显然because那句只是一个事实，而不能被expected，只有涨价的预期可以被expected，所以E整个篡改了句子原意，大错特错。

PS:关于时间状语的比较，正确答案A也揭示了这一点，只有比较的是时间状语，this year than last (省略year)才可能是对的。 否则，如果比较主语的话，应该是： A is expected to be higher this year than B is expected to be.
