查了一下字典，觉得的确是name as 的意思和语意不符，分享下：
Name做动词，意为：
a. to give a name to sb./ sth., 例如name my dog Sandy
b. to say the names of sb./sth. , 例如 Can you name the person who attacked you?
c. to choose sb. to be sth. - 常与AS连用
d. to decide on or to choose sth., 例如name the day of our wedding, name the day of the shuttle launch

NAME AS 的一些例句：
▪ The company president named [=appointed] his son (as) his successor.
▪ She was named to replace him as the company's vice president.
▪ She has been named (as) the winner of the competition.
▪ The magazine named him (as) the best artist of the year.
