前面的 解释理解 就是后面的a market ranging 不可以理解成独立主格么?

答案应该是E吧？

独立主格是我大弱项，不晓得我这样解释可以么。。。独立主格可以看作为状语，如果a market ranging是状语并且修饰之前主句，理论上我不觉得A选项里这个独立主格能对前句有逻辑修饰。

这样看，如果第一个状语从句By merging its two publishing division改为Its two publishing division merging(或者其他不产生主动被动歧义的词），那么这一部分就是有逻辑联系的独立主格。

我是这么理解的哦。

我又看了看解释， ranging from obscure textbooks to mass-market paperbacks.应该指的its share of the country's $21 billion book market. 中心词是share 。 因为book market 不是只from obscure to mass-product paperbacks

我可没说改动建立在A上的。A本身就是错误选项。还有ranging你的解释不对，因为5个选项里range前都有个词汇，A的ranging是直接修饰之前的market，并且range的语意也是修饰market，具体应该是book market。如果ranging前没有词汇，则ranging修饰之前整一句，这样看也是错误的，这种情况动词+ing的状语应该与之前的主谓有联系，也就是company和increase，但是词句中这之间不存在逻辑联系。

share是指市场占有率，占有率怎么可能跟具体的书本有关呢。。。比如“中地沟油的地沟油市场占有率从5%升10%，从餐厅食用油到航空机用油”。虽然中文上未必显示大问题，但要知道gmat结构里“餐厅食用油”和“航空机用油就”修饰“占有率”了，这是错的。如果改为“市场占有率从5%升到10%，中地沟油的市场从餐厅食用油跨越到航空机用油”。这里面的“餐厅食用油”和“航空机用油”就直接修饰“市场”。

而在选项E里，后者就通过which的究竟指代修饰了market。

逻辑上赞同，但我是把A后面的理解成同位语，好像更好理解：因为前面没有这个同位语修饰的名词出现，因此不成立。可以吗？求拍砖指教！

答案是B啊 我也选的是E，range应该是修饰紧接着的前一个名词。market  答案到底是哪个？？？

这道题答案是E，正写到这里，也不理解prep里的解释，ranging使后面的子句缺少谓语？不懂！另外prep说，which指代的是its share of the country's $21 billion book market，不明白，前面的部分如果跳跃修饰不合理了，分析E项的时候又可以指代shares整体了，why？？

我感觉a market ranging更像是同位语啊。。。。

而且这道题目的的答案貌似是B 啊。。。。

我选的是E，觉得which的就近指代应该优于不确定的idiom搭配
